Let’s talk about one of my most favourite ways of treating patients: with Acupuncture! There are so many different types of Acupuncture and and each has its unique way of affecting the body:
- Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) – works in the entire body using small needles placed along the meridians. It is used to create systemic changeÂ
- Neurofunctional Acupuncture- deep needling to the neuromuscular bundle/peirneurium based on TCM points. Once the needle has reached depth then it is stimulated to evoke change and the desired tissue
- Dry needling- repetitive pecking of a trigger point (neuromuscular bundle) to create a jump reflex.
Knowing all three will allow you to create customized treatment plans to achieve your patients unique goals.
